Fall 2008 marks my ninth year of employment at NDSU. I currently direct the Center for Writers on campus, teach AmericanLiterature I (ENGL 261) and American Literature II (ENGL 262), and serve as academic advisor to English Education majors. In the past, I have taught College Composition I and II (ENGL 110 and 120), and English Education methods courses (EDUC 481 and 482). My research interests include the history of writing instruction, Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC), Writing in the Disciplines (WID), and writing center theory and practice. I am also very interested in classic American and British literature. I am a bona-fide product of North Dakota. I was born and raised in Bismarck and earned my degrees at NDSU. My family includes my husband, Tim, four grown children and their spouses, and five grandchildren (six in March). I enjoy volunteering and teaching at my church and traveling-especially to warm climates.
