Brandi Fuglsby currently teaches English 110 and 120 at NDSU. She started
teaching at NDSU in August 2007, which began her fourth year of teaching. Brandi plans on teaching 300-level classes beginning in Spring '09.

Education:
Master of Arts from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD (2007)
Bachelor of Arts from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN (2004)

Brandi combines several approaches in her English classes so that students are prepared for most writing situations. Some of these approaches include genre (preparing students to write for different situations and audiences), popular culture analysis (using graphics, along with text, to get students thinking critically about the world in which they live), and collaboration (getting students working together as a team). All of these approaches ultimately help students to cultivate their thinking, reading, and writing skills, all of which will aid them in communicating within their respective careers.

Academically, Brandi's main area of interest is British Literature with an emphasis on Victorian Literature, though she enjoys reading almost any time period, including contemporary literature. When Brandi isn't teaching, preparing to teach, or reading (usually Victorian) literature, you will see her rollerblading around town, for she likes to stay active and spend time outdoors.
