BS in Education, emphasis in Early Childhood Education, from New Mexico State University, 1981.

My principal objectives as a teacher are: (1) to provide opportunity for students to practice critical thinking, reading, and writing skills, while supplying the historical and theoretical background which informs careful and accurate scholarship, and then to clearly, fairly, and encouragingly, evaluate their endeavors; (2) to equip students to critique their own work both editorially and rhetorically; and (3) to promote the curiosity, questioning, and enjoyment of texts, which are the hallmarks of lifelong learners.
